What You Are Consenting To
This site uses two categories of non-essential technology, and each is covered by your consent where consent is legally required:
- Advertising — Google AdSense serves the ads that keep this site free. With consent, ads may be personalised using cookies and similar identifiers. Without consent, ads are still shown but are non-personalised, chosen from general context rather than your browsing history.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 counts visits and reports aggregate usage so we know which converters matter most. Without consent, analytics storage is not used.
Strictly necessary technology — what is needed to serve the page securely — is always active and cannot be switched off, as it does not rely on your consent under applicable law.
How Consent Is Handled by Default
We implement Google Consent Mode v2. Before any advertising or analytics script runs, the site declares a default consent state based on where you are:
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland — advertising storage, ad personalisation, ad user data and analytics storage all default to denied. Nothing is stored for these purposes unless and until you consent.
- Elsewhere — these default to granted, in line with the law applicable in those regions. You can still opt out using the controls on this page.
Controls That Always Work
Google account and ad settings
- Google Ads Settings — turn off ad personalisation across Google services.
- My Ad Center — control the ads you see and the data used for them.
- Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on — block Analytics on every site you visit.
Industry opt-outs
- Your Online Choices (Europe)
- Digital Advertising Alliance (United States)
- Network Advertising Initiative
Your browser
Every major browser can block or delete cookies, and most offer a private browsing mode that discards them when you close the window. Our Cookie Policy links to the instructions for each browser. Blocking cookies will not stop any converter from working, because all calculations run locally on your device.
Withdrawing Consent Later
Consent is not permanent. You can return to this page at any time to reopen the consent dialog and change your answer, and withdrawal is as easy as giving consent in the first place. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.
Your Broader Rights
Depending on where you live you may also have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection. Our Privacy Policy explains these in full, including how California residents can opt out of the "sharing" of personal information. To make a request, email info@unitconverter.website.
